Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pair checks terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MTs Negeri 1 Selatpanjang 2017/2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Post-test Only Control Group Design. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 80 siswa yang terdiri dari 40 siswa untuk masing- masing kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang diperoleh dengan teknik cluster random sampling pada siswa kelas VIII. Setelah diberikan perlakuan diperoleh nilai tes hasil belajar matematika siswa pada pokok bahasan system persamaan linear dua variable. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pair checks berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pair checks sebesar 84.37 sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran klasikal sebesar 68.78. Berdasarkan perhitungan diperoleh > ((2.64 <5.65> 1.99). sehingga hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pair check lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar matematika yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the improvement of cooperative learning model of pair checks type to student learning result of mathematics. This research was conducted at MTs Negeri 1 Selatpanjang 2017/2018. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with the research design of The Post-Test Only Control Group Design. The subjects of this study were 80 students consisting of 40 students for each experimental class and control class obtained by cluster random sampling technique in grade VIII students. After given the treatment obtained the value of the test results of student learning mathematics on the subject system of linear equations two variables. The result of the research revealed that cooperative learning model of pair checks type has an effect on the improvement of students' mathematics learning outcomes. The average mathematics learning outcomes of students who are taught with cooperative learning model type of pair checks of 84.37 while the average result of learning mathematics students are taught with a classical learning model of 68.78. Based on calculations obtained t_count> t_tables (2.64 <5.65> 1.99) so that the results of learning mathematics students taught using cooperative learning model type of check pair higher than the results of learning mathematics using conventional learning.
